This week in German we have been working on our "Mörderbuch Projekt" - a creative writing project which took place between our regular learning sessions, helping students to build up their beginner's vocabulary, grammatical knowledge and communicative skills.
An important part of our language work is to set conditions for enjoying to learn the new language. Therefore we try to engage students regularly in language games, interactive exercises on the street with locals and creative projects such as photo stories et. al.
In this particular activity, students were asked to use recently studied forms of the accusative case (dich), possessive pronouns (mein, dein), yes- and no-questions and variations of presenting time and date. The vocabulary used involved 'free time' activities, school subjects, stationary, times and places.
