The Grade 7 trip arrived safely and are already out and about!

The students explored Nuremberg Castle/Nürnberger Kaiserburg/ this morning, followed by a guided tour of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum with a focus on life in the Middle Ages - where they also learned how to prepare "medieval style porridge"! At the Albrecht Dürer House they were introduced to printing techniques and enjoyed a printing workshop.

In the morning students visited the Museum for Industrial Culture/Museum Industriekultur which focuses on the history of industrialisation, work and everyday life of the past and present. Students are currently on a photo safari, exploring the town, its iconic sights and culinary specialties.

After exploring the Nazi Party Rally Grounds and the purpose of these significant propaganda events from the point of view of the Hitler Youth, a group of students attempted to investigate the how justice was brought to the victims of the atrocities of the Nazi regime in the Memorium for the Nuremberg Trials. The highlight of the week was the medieval dinner.
